Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ10 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach da-Angelo Pizzeria & Ristorante at (516) 741-8694; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, daangelopizza.com.

First time here yesterday and while I did not order much, what I did have was delicious. The hit, fresh rolls they bring to the table are worth it alone, lol. Also got an order or calamari and personal sized Marguerite pizza. Their sauce is BOMB. I will be returning with more people.

I found this restaurant when I happened to be in Long Island. I ordered a regular slice, and a Sicilian. Look I love slices of pizza. Usually I try as many different locations as I can. The plain cheese pizza it's a bit bland, and the sauce a bit wet. The Sicilian was much better, much more of a softer bite to it, the sauce just happened to be much better. It seems like a fairly busy area, more like somewhere you can take your family out to. Staff is also very friendly, and they give real plates.

I ordered today a personal pizza online and didnβt see any option to indicate that I am vegetarian. As soon as I realized, I called the restaurant to request a vegetarian pizza instead. Unfortunately, my order still arrived with meat. When I contacted the restaurant again, the staff were rude and unhelpful. I was told that they wouldnβt issue a refund or make a replacement, and that I can do whatever I want with it. Since I couldnβt eat it, I had to give the pizza to someone else. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I expected better customer service and a willingness to help resolve the issue.

Classic long island pie done with very good ingredients, very, very solid taste. The place looks like a neighborhood staple., Lots of people there.

Update - giving 1 star for service. Guy in the glasses is extremely rude, impatient and obnoxious. I was deciding on whether to order another item or not and he couldn't wait 10 seconds, loudly made a rude comment to his coworker while I was standing in front of them, something along the line - this guy can't make up his mind while rolling his eyes. If the pizza were just decent and not great, I would've left. He should be fired. Along with the coworker who stood there and didn't say anything. Horrible customer service. ----- Must try pizza. So good and represents that NYC style of pizza so well. The tomato sauce on the pizza tastes unique to this restaurant and I like it! Even the basic pasta has flavor with chunks of real garlic. Love the crispy yet chewy pizza crust. Presentation makes you want to eat a whole pie by yourself. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Restaurant is clean. Definitely a place to add and save.
